Leaving Delhi with Hearts Full of Gratitude
As we prepare to head back to Mauritius tomorrow, my heart is overflowing. We arrived here carrying the weight of 3 major surgeries, filled with anxiety. Today, we leave with only 1 surgery remaining, holding onto the beautiful hope of returning soon for Nawfal’s kidney transplant.
First, all praise belongs to the Almighty, and deep thanks to the Dilloos Family for their unbreakable support.
To the entire OMCA Mauritius & OMCA India Team, you have been our lifeline since day one. Thank you Ally, and a special heartfelt thank you to Zaheer Peerbacus for fighting against the clock to get Nawfal here when his health was so complicated. Thank you also to Bhai Tawfick Dilloo, Tasleem Mohammad Dilloo and Bhai Shahrukh Khan Dilloo
Delhi became our second home because of our incredible second family:
Karan Bhaiya – You are genuinely one of the best—so responsible, deeply caring, and always there. Thank you for everything. Ridika Didi – A strong, independent woman who stood as our constant pillar of strength. MotuRavi , Rashid Bhaiya, Abhi Bhaiya, & Luqman – Thank you for keeping us safe, providing food, medicines,and transport. Ravi Motu, even when we had our little arguments, we love you so much! The Guest House Team – Housekeeping, the wonderful cooks, Chotu Ravi, and Taj, thank you for making us feel at home.To Doctor Naveen Chaudhri: :From day one, you weren’t just our doctor—you were our angel. In our darkest, most terrifying moments, you never left our side. You didn’t just treat Nawfal; you loved and protected both of us like your very own children. You gave us the strength to breathe when we were drowning in fear. We are leaving for Mauritius today knowing that Nawfal has a second father in Delhi. We love you, we pray for you, and we can never thank you enough for saving our spirits.
To our brothers at Max Saket — Izhaar, Adnaan and Samir Bhaiya : You became our true family. Running through the corridors to help us during our most frantic days is something we will never forget. We will miss you all so much!
And finally, to Adib Bhaiya: We laughed, cried, and fought through every high and low since day one. We are so sorry for any arguments caused by our deep anxiety—we can never thank you enough.
We came as frightened strangers, but we leave as part of a beautiful family.
